An Evening of Siberian Music and Stories

Featuring:
Chirgilchin
Internationally Acclaimed Tuvan Throat Singers from Siberia.

“Chirgilchin”, whose group names means “miracle” in Tuvan language, is a quartet of visiting musicians and singers from Siberia. They will be presenting their musical lore of horse fiddle and jaw harps, with the singing of vocal polyharmonics, the throat singing made famous by the independent film, “Ghenghis Blues”.
To celebrate the cultures of Central and Arctic Asia, Eth-Noh-Tec will be presenting three Siberian folk tales. Listen to the tales where heroic orphan Osku Ool outwits the evil Khan, where the beautiful Golden Princess offers her wisdom, and where Magic Mirrors and the Pill of Life brings back the maiden from the brink of death. Bundle up, settle in, can get cozy and listen by the fire of your imagination.
