Tapestry of Asian Tales: Spinning Yarns East and West

June 23 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm PDT

Free

Weaving folktale and personal narrative stories, nationally acclaimed Asian-Americans take us on a journey through lands of silk, spice, cranes and dragons. We will also hear stories about being a part of a country where acceptance is not always known, where stereotypes have created an “other” experience, and where tradition causes tensions, informs and uplifts. Enjoy stories told by storytellers Motoko, Roopa Mohan, Karin Amano, Alton Chung, Joel Ying, Yasu Ishida, Linda Yemoto, Anne Shimojima, Kuniko Yamamoto and Eth-Noh-Tec. This program will also be livestreamed on YouTube.
